We recently took in 3 more children — bringing our Home to a total of 24. We are thrilled to be able to provide them with a safe and loving place to live. Our newest residents are a brother [3] and sister [17 mos.] and an infant boy. They are fitting right in and are immediately part of our large and loving family.

After an extensive search, we are thrilled to report that we have hired a new Executive Director for our South African home. As former Chief Executive Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Africa, Lana Liable brings extensive experience and passion to the position. With Lana’s leadership and advocacy, we are looking forward to making Open Arms Home for Children one of the pre-eminent children’s homes in South Africa.

Recent additions have brought us to a total of 19 children at our home, with the latest additions being a set of triplets! All our children have been quick to embrace the love and security that we have been able to provide - thanks to the generosity of our wonderful donors. While we can’t replace their biological family, our mission is to provide these children with a home where they can grow and flourish.
